A schematic of the five service sectors around Denver: the north corridor along the top, northwest and central Denver in the middle, the foothills to the west and the south metro below. I-25 US 36 Central Denver Northwest Denver South metro Foothills North corridor
Schematic, not to scale and not a boundary — it shows how the five sectors sit against each other and against the two roads everything here is planned around.
Wide seven-knob stainless range in honey-oak cabinets, the left burner opened to its base with the cap on the worktop, the oven door lowered on a full-width empty cavity with a perforated round fan cover, an oven rack on the tile at the right and a towel and wrench at the left

Viking Repair in the Foothills West of Denver

Higher than the city, further from everything, and often on a different fuel.

West of Denver the ground rises quickly. Lakewood and Golden sit close to the city in every practical sense; Genesee, Evergreen, Morrison and Ken Caryl do not. Elevation climbs, the drive lengthens, and winter decides which days a steep drive is worth attempting. A visit out here is planned as a visit, not as a stop between two others.

The fuel question matters more than the altitude one. Plenty of properties on this side run propane rather than natural gas, and a burner set for one is wrong on the other — a conversion is a parts-and-settings job that has to be confirmed against the appliance before anyone drives out. Confirm the fuel when you book and the first visit is the only visit.

Spec check

Confirm each of these before anything is cut, ordered or delivered.

  1. Which fuel the house actually runs, natural gas or propane, and what the appliance is currently set for
  2. Whether the burner conversion kit for that model and that fuel is still available
  3. Driveway grade and winter access, and where a vehicle can be left
  4. The site elevation, since it is well above the city and the manufacturer publishes settings by altitude band

  • Two back burners had stopped sparking entirely. Not the module another company blamed — the harness plug behind the manifold had backed out and corroded. He reseated and sealed it, then tested every burner twice.

    Marla D.Cherry Creek

  • Ran the clean cycle before a dinner party and the door stayed locked afterwards. The latch motor had stalled on its cam. He freed it, fitted a new motor, and showed me how to avoid a repeat.

    Fritz B.Washington Park

  • Whenever I lit the left burner the right one popped alight too. Spark leads had been crossed and one was chafed against the frame. Rerouted and re-clipped. He charged the $89 call and nothing more.

Cream wire brush, tongue-and-groove pliers, two blue drivers and a yellow driver above a long slotted arm, a roller bracket with its wheel and a small heap of bolts and nuts on a grey towel

Book a visit

A question now is cheaper than a change order later

$89 buys the visit and a complete diagnosis, and it comes straight off the bill once you approve a repair. Nothing gets ordered and nothing gets fitted until the number is in front of you.
