Viking Appliance Repair in Evergreen
An Evergreen kitchen is usually the best room in the house, and it is also the one furthest from everything that supplies it. Three things get established before anyone sets off: what the drive looks like on the day, what the appliances are being fed, and where the water comes from. None of them is exotic, and all three change what a visit needs to bring.
Housing stock
Timber mountain house
A house of heavy timber and stone on a wooded lot, typically with the main living floor raised over a walk-out level and a tall open kitchen at the heart of it. The drive is private, often long, and the nearest neighbour is rarely close enough to borrow a socket from.
Water that the city never touched
Plenty of properties on this side draw from a private well rather than a municipal main, and no two wells are alike: hardness, sediment and iron all vary from one bore to the next. Dishwashers, ice makers and the small lines that feed refrigeration are where that shows up first, as scale, as a slow fill, or as a filter doing far more work than the manufacturer assumed. If the house is on a well, a recent water test beats any general advice, and knowing where the in-line filter and its shutoff sit saves the first quarter of an hour.
Winter decides the approach, not the work
The repair itself is indifferent to the weather. Getting to it is not. A steep unpaved drive under fresh snow, an ice sheet on the shaded side of a hill and a turning circle narrowed by a plough berm all change where a vehicle can be left and how far equipment has to be carried. Describe the drive when you book rather than the address, and say whether it is cleared.
A house that stands empty for stretches
Some kitchens up here are used hard for part of the year and not at all for the rest, and appliances left to themselves in the cold behave differently from ones in a house that is lived in. Ice makers left switched on, a water line running through an outside wall and a refrigeration door held very slightly open by a stiff gasket are the usual finds. If the house has been shut up, say so when you book, and mention whether the water was left on at the main.
Spec check
Confirm each of these before anything is cut, ordered or delivered.
- Whether the property is on a well or a municipal supply, and when the water was last tested
- Where the in-line water filter and its shutoff are, and when the filter was last changed
- The state of the drive on the day, and where a vehicle can be left
- Which fuel feeds the cooking equipment, a utility main or a delivered tank
- Whether the kitchen has been standing unused, and whether the water was left on

The broil element arced, flashed, and left a scorch mark on the liner. Its terminal had burnt back inside the porcelain block. He renewed element and block together in one visit, then vacuumed up.
Bernadette F.Washington Park
Damp kept appearing under the toe kick of a two-year-old kitchen. Not the door seal — a split fitting where the fill hose meets the valve. Replaced, dried out, and no sign of it since.
Ignacio R.Highland
Burners tipped yellow and sooted the copper hood after our remodel. The installer had never fitted the high-altitude orifices. He swapped them, reset the air shutters, and the flames burn blue again.

Book a visit
A question now is cheaper than a change order later
$89 buys the visit and a complete diagnosis, and it comes straight off the bill once you approve a repair. Nothing gets ordered and nothing gets fitted until the number is in front of you.
